RIP Peter Steele, vocalist/bassist of Type O Negative. Type O was one of my very favorite bands in high school and remained one of my all-time favorites to this day. Over the years I’ve seen a great many bands live and heard recordings of even more, but I saw Type O live 3 times and each show was even better than the last. The man knew how to command a stage, that’s for sure.
Pete’s unique voice, deadpan sense of humor, and immense talent will always be remembered (and missed). This is a big loss to the world of heavy music.
